About NextGen Remodeling
As a young company, our reputation is rooted in our professional etiquette, the quality of our work, and our relentless pursuit of perfection. Through mastery, creative problem solving, and autonomy we take every project from beginning to end using our seasoned in-house staff or one of our trusted, specialty sub-contractors to ensure that our work is done properly, on schedule, and within budget. We have a small in-house crew lead by Taylor Foley, owner/operator, and Curtis Calkins, project manager/designer.
Between them, they have twenty years of interior and exterior residential remodeling experience ranging from small cosmetic repairs to large additions and whole home remodels. We are a licensed general contractor with the ability and network to complete any residential project, but we specialize in designing and building kitchens and bathrooms. With a credentialed in-house designer and many different resources at our disposal, we offer a cohesive remodeling process that covers every facet with the highest attention to detail and execution.
Only the Best
We have a small, but well-seasoned in-house crew to handle projects of all sizes – from concept, to formal design, to construction and finishing
In cases where we need to bring in a sub-contractor, we only work with sub-contractors who are well-qualified, well-vetted & well-insured. We’ve been working with most of our sub-contractors for many years
High Quality Construction Management
Owner, Taylor Foley, oversees every project NextGen Remodeling works on – not matter how large or small the proect may be!

The NextGen Team
Taylor Foley, Owner
Taylor is a Kansas City native and a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. Taylor started at the bottom rung of the remodeling ladder, he was an apprentice for a general contractor for 3 years, earning his stripes in many different trades including painting, framing, and concrete. As his natural growth carried him to new opportunities, he cultivated his abilities as a craftsman to include every trade that is required to renovate a home from start to finish. Now, with almost ten years of experience, Taylor displays the best example of being a master of his craft.
Curtis Calkins, Design Lead
Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Curtis is a graduate of Rockhurst High School and received his MA of Architecture from the University of Kansas in 2012. Curtis coupled his design degree with practical application by working in residential remodeling part-time and leading design/build projects during school. After graduation, he deepened his trade knowledge as a hands-on project manager for non-profit and for-profit companies. With strengths in project management, design, and execution of projects both large and small, Curtis brings a broad and integral set of skills to our team.
The son of a Civil Engineer, Alex became acquainted with whole-home remodeling at a very young age. Following graduation from Shawnee Mission East in 2009, he pursued his real estate license and assisted his father in both the acquisition and remodeling of dozens of properties to prepare them for the rental market. Alex has been honing his trade skills as an apprentice of Taylor Foley’s for two years and is growing into a master craftsman. Alex’s background in sales, real estate management, and practical ability enriches our team with versatility and compliments our comprehensive approach to remodeling.
With a commitment to perfection and mastery, Austin is an apprentice who is determined to manifest the next generation of skilled craftsmen. His degree in communications and background in warehouse management supply him with the ingredients to make a great team leader. He has two years of remodeling experience and has been an apprentice of Curtis Calkins for the past year, showing exponential improvement and marked potential. His strengths in electrical, tiling, and drywall are exciting prospects as he stands on the shoulders of our team’s experience.
